Pick up spilled beads

An adhesive lint roller is perfect for picking up stray beads. Just roll it over the surface where the beads fell, tear the sheet from the roll, and remove the beads from the tape.
Better crimping technique PDF  | Print |  E-mail

Crimping right next to the clasp can seriously weaken a piece. Instead, place your crimps next to a soldered jump ring, then wire the clasp to the ring. This provides a moveable joint at the point of greatest stress instead of a sharp metal crimp edge, which can cut the beading wire. Another alternative is to place a bead between the crimp and the clasp. The bead will act as a buffer between the heavily handled clasp and the metal edge of the crimp.
